We are now accepting applications for our 2019 Winter/Spring cohort.
Our mentors are selected based on their desire to give back to the community, experience in the industry, and personal goals/values as they relate to mentorship. You don't have to be a designer, but we find it's helpful if you work in a related tech-ish discipline (Content Strategy, Front End Development, Strategy, Research, etc). Most of our mentors are lead levels, but not always! We find many women feel that they fit in both the 'mentee' and 'mentor' space - this is totally normal! But if you have about 5 years in the industry, we recommend trying to apply for a mentor role.
We find that most successful applications display a self-awareness of their current abilities and desired areas of growth, as well as some experience in managing individual contributors. Your mentees will also be expected to drive their growth with goal setting and definition, but you will play a big role in helping them achieve those goals.
Time commitment: Hour long, bi-weekly, IRL meetings with your mentee for 4 months (or longer if you two agree!)
